Nursery

This is what we started with, sort of.  The guys had already moved out most of the actual furniture by this point.  What was left were Christmas remnants and random objects.  Although this has been the office for the last 4 years, it becomes a catchall more often than not.

This is a view of the closet doors and the starting paint color.  It is the nondescript blah that the room was painted when we bought the house.  Actually, most of our house still is this color...

Here's another shot of the closet doors after the room was painted.  We opted for a very neutral gray based beige.  My thought was that the colors of Dr. Seuss are all so bright that a nice neutral background would calm things down.

This is the day after the painting, Sunday, when I felt so poorly.  Jordan and Cody were keeping me company on our incredibly comfortable sofa.

Here it is: Peanut's crib!  This is just before we put the mattress in.  We ordered the crib and dresser from an American company that makes an incredibly sturdy product.  It is one of those cribs that converts into a toddler bed and then a full sized bed.  It will last from the day we bring him home to the day he moves away from home.

Here is the matching dresser.

A nice view of the crib sheet.

What's a crib without a baby in it?  Here is Peanut's future bed with his incredibly happy big sister posing!

There is definitely more to be done in this room, but I thought I'd show you the progress thus far.  It's a small room (made smaller by the heavy furniture) yet I think it's going to be a happy room for Peanut.

Yes, it's a wonderful room in progress. I wonder if you didn't feel well from all the paint fumes. And Jordan sure looks comfy in those glasses these days! Thanks for sharing your pictures here.
