Snow Day

My husband woke me up this morning at 6 to show me the foot or so of snow that had accumulated overnight (as if it wouldn't have been there an hour or two later). It was, however, an exciting day in our household. It was Jordan's first time in the snow! The only disappointment was that Chase was at work and missed the moment. My sister got to share it with Jordan and me so I am thankful for that.
Jordan didn't know quite what to think about snow but acclimated enough to pick up snow before we called it quits. It makes me happy that she got to play in the snow at such a young age; the pictures will be treasured when she's older. Having grown up in Georgia, my sister and I didn't really get to experience much snowfall in our own backyard. It makes my heart smile to know that Jordan, and whomever else may come along, will get to experience that simple pleasure. It truly is the simple and pure things in life that make my world go round.
